we bring people into the family through a relationship with Jesus and each other.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is God's Word. We believe in the absolute inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, given by the Holy Spirit without error. We believe that the church has no authority to establish doctrine or practice contrary to these same Scriptures, which were subsequently accepted as canon by the early Christian Church.
Salvation
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the "new birth" we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
Jesus
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
Holy Spirit
We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts.
Meet Pastors Lenny & Jennie Barber and their family.
Lenny and Jennie met in Dallas and have been married for 18 years. They have four children – Aidyn 17, Leigh 15, Mykah 13, and Cross 11. They have been in ministry for over 20 years and are passionate about seeing communities transformed by the love of Jesus. Lenny was born and raised in St. Louis, and spent much of his time in and around Ferguson.
After living in Texas for a few years, God called them back to St. Louis for full-time ministry. Lenny has worked in every area of St. Louis, from inner city to outskirt suburbs. But his heart has remained in the area where he grew up.
They have a desire to see God’s people break down the walls of the church, figuratively, by being the church to those who may never step foot into the building. They have a strong conviction to impact the kingdom through discipleship; training and teaching believers to be leaders in their neighborhoods and community.
Our vision
We want to be a place where we know and grow together as a community. This is how we do that:
